Grace Lewis

Lord teach us to pray,
In a modest humble mind,
God himself will take delight,
But the proud an haughty find,
They are hateful in his sight.

Jesus Christ was meek and mild,
And no angry thoughts allow'd
O'then, shall a sinful child,
Dare to be preserve and proud.

This indeed should never be,
Lord, forbid it, we entreat;
Grant we all may learn of thee,
That humility is sweet.

Time's the only space that's given;
To obtain a place in heaven,
Seek salvation then to-day,
Seek and find it while you may
